    Growing up in rural Essex Caroline has always been passionate about good food shared around the kitchen table.

     

    After a successful career in project management and communications Caroline made the trip of a lifetime to train at the world renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School in Co. Cork, Ireland. The Ballymaloe ethos of real food cooked well and respect for the best ingredients remains at the core of her cookery philosophy.

     

    Relocating to Edinburgh, Scotland, Caroline pursues her shared passions of seafood and storytelling in this inspirational city with a proud maritime history. She's worked and collaborated with Seafish, Fish is the Dish, Dig In Bruntsfield, Slow Food and many more.

     

    Services include recipe and menu development, food styling, private catering, teaching, food writing and seafood consultancy. Helping more people to enjoy delicious and versatile fish and shellfish is at the heart of The Urban Fishwife, a place to share and inspire.
